No.39 – Megalithic Bedrock Pool (1999)
This piece also goes aback to my earliest experiences in clay. I dropped a piece of clay on the ground, my freshman year of college, and found the resulting surface fascinating. I have been pursuing the idea of that surface off and on every since. I love this work but I seldom allow myself the freedom to work this way. Its particularly beautiful full of water. I refer to these pots as bedrock for obvious reasons.
