No.38 – Large Jug (2004)

This is one of the coolest pots I’ve ever made.  Each element came together in a way they seldom do.  This is a larger piece, thrown in two parts with many of my usual techniques, lobes, glaze trailing, over a ball clay slip.  I like the proportion of the neck to the belly.  Most of my interpretations of this form are sleeker than the historical jugs that it’s based on.  Made in England.

Capacity 1 gallon

14″h x 7 1/2″ x 6 1/2
