No.34 – Lobed Vase (2004)
This is a classic form with a narrow foot rising to a sturdy belly and a broad rim. Perfect for a flower arrangement on an early autumn day. Made in England at Toff Milway’s studio. It has a heavy salt glazed surface on one side and a quiet surface on the other indicating the direction of the flame. Potters often describe putting a “face” on the pot using the flame to mark one side.
