No.12 – Model for a Fountain (early 1990’s)

$195.00

I was asked by a friend to make a fountain for his backyard. I’m not much of a big pot maker but I thought that I might be able to make one so I started with a tabletop model to work out the logistics. It is made from 6 different thrown parts. While the model came out well, when I did the math to resize it the bottom bowl would have needed to be 3 feet in diameter!…Bigger than my gas kiln at the time and certainly bigger than I am comfortable making. So this is as far as it got. It could easily be plumbed as it has a central hole down the middle.

I have one of the other models and have used it as a small fountain in a garden pot.
