57. White Water Pitcher


Some of my earliest influences as a potter came from medieval German and British pottery. I recently started to explore the more ornamental ideas from those days. Sprigging is a technique for decorating pottery with low relief shapes pressed in shallow molds or by applying small pellets of clay to the surface. This jug is 7.5″ high and holds about 24 ounces.
